It felt kind of slow and times picked up but no consistency.

I'm happy to see more Asian American stories in movies. That said, this one mostly shows the director's affinity for basketball and rap culture. I didn't end up relating to the characters or the story line.

it was a nice story with a good lesson at the end.

There were parts of the show that seemed to be disconnected but all in all it was a good movie. It does well at showing the day to day struggles that someone not in their native land or in an area that does not have the same cultural beliefs or traditions may experience. It also depicts the conflict of an adolescent trying to do as exepected from everyone in their life but try to realize they have their own dreams and goals as well.
