You have to like scary movies to like this. However each story has a great underlying message.

Perhaps I expected more when I saw Sam Raimi had involvement with it. The premise of the first tale (The Golden Arm, Michigan) was alright but the acting and cinematography were dreadfully bad. The story of the second tale (Almost There, Iowa) was on par with the first but was immensely more enjoyable overall.

The stories are equal to good Twilight Zone or Black Mirror episodes but not really scary. They were full of jump scares you could see coming from a mile away but all the actors were good.

I didn't find it especially scary. I would say on a fright scale I would give it a six.
