Beyond the possible issue of having a (very talented) Japanese actor playing a Chinese role, there's the plot twist that only Charles Dickens would write, that the girlfriend's first hookup just happened to be with the big basketball rival! What are the odds of THAT happening?\r\rThe father's hair-trigger angry outbursts seemed too staged, when he could also work lovingly with his son's basketball training.\r\rI liked the fortune teller whose advise was eerily the same for parents and son. But the odd ending -- the NOW AND THEN flashes of nothing but eyes -- left me wondering what was happening.

Good story, slow at times, did not like the ending.\r

I think this would be for viewers younger than this grandmother is but the family dynamic was interesting. I enjoyed the game at the end. I missed whether he was going to China for sure or St. John’s. I wanted to play the video back to catch up.
