The story seemed like a series of events instead of a movie

Even though the movie is like a Hallmark movie and seemed quite predictable, I liked it. The music was worth the watch.

Great old time/jazz soundtrack. But a too familiar story of 2 people in love and how their careers force them apart. And how the standards at the time where the man has to be the bread winner all come into play in this movie. Can people overcome the odds and get past social standards for the sake of love? Does this movie have a happy ending?
