Great movie showing the real story of Mohamaedou that I was not aware of and the sad struggle he had to experience for years.

The story was driven by a strong cast and never got boring. With the movie being a true story and with the subject matter, you would like to think it could get stale. The combination of well timed audio queues and visuals kept me captivated.

STRONG SCRIPT AND RIVETING PERFORMANCES Jodie Foster is amazing, but the screen belongs to Tahar Rahim as we anguish over his 15 years of abusive & cruel imprisonment, without so much as a charge. Great performances from Benedict Cumberbatch and Shailene Woodley. (But I have to admit, after his performances in Sherlock Holmes, Enigma and Dr. Strange, I was often distracted trying to figure out how Benedict got his voice SO LOW in it's register for this film).. SUBJECT MATTER WAS SEARING As a "Lawyer / Prisoner" film this was neither "To Kill A Mockingbird" nor "My Cousin Vinny", because the TRUE defendant on trial was the United States, and what a successful demonstration of our country's Unconstitutional actions. A great lesson for the history books and one that everyone should see, but, unfortunately, won't. And that continues to say more about the sad society we live in today, especially Post Jan 6 Riot at the Capitol.
