Enjoyed the acting, as well as the main character. Film could be cut shorter by taking out the dream scenes. They didn't add to the story. I did find the explanation of how a conductor "makes" the music with the orchestra very interesting. Scenes with the orchestra rehearsals were captivating. Cate was tops in performance of the character.

An intellectually riveting and emotionally cold film. Among the best of the year so far.
