This is powerful film based on a horrifying true story. The cast was superb. There's so much to think about. Why does anything this terrible happen? How could they keep their unwavering faith in God? How could they even consider forgiving their attackers? How could they leave the only home they knew? Must they leave August behind? Is that the only way to have hope for the future? Thank you for allowing is to screen the film before it opens in Kansas City.

It was quite an interesting and emotional movie. I enjoyed it. I liked how the character's thinking went through the movie and how ideas changed. There were good reasons for everything they decided. My daughter and I had quite a philosophical conversation about it after: How there are parallels to things going on in the world and how to fix them. Like should we stay and fight or leave. That is the question for a lot of issues. In the end, I was left with lots of questions, but enjoyed the movie as a whole.

Good movie. Was very slow in several places.
