It was good. Chemistry between some main characters clicked (Jennifer & Marlin) and others not so much. There were a lot of gaps in the story that left you guessing on some situations or conditions or people throughout the movie. I felt it made Aretha Franklin looked like her whole life was about ignoring all the abuse and dysfunctions of her life and and I think towards the end she realized it and came to accept and made peace with it. Didn’t stay for the remaining end credits so I’m not sure if any help sites were posted for people in suspected abusive relationships/situations can seek help?

Wanted to see more about last 25-30 years of her life
