was slow moving

My fiance and I watched the movie last night and we enjoyed this beautiful love story. In some ways, this story reflects our current relationship. People individuals falling in love and making sacrifices in order to follow their dreams. One thing we appreciate was this wasn't a "black" love story; it was just a love story. The film might have taken place in the 1950s, but the director of the film did not allow the times to overshadow the story of Sylvie and Robert's love. \rAlthough the concept was good, I thought there were areas in the story that requires more depth and stronger acting.

The music, sets, costumes were great. The acting was good. The script did not give the characters enough depth.

I would recommend during these times to certain people. Not a blanket recommendation. Did not think there was charisma between two main characters. She was great but he was flat. Might have been more interesting/conflict if he had eventually become a successful musician and she was a career woman.
