Really good movie.

had an opportunity to preview Risen tonight. I was familiar with some parts of the story and made mental notes of others to see if they're actually listed in the Bible. It was engaging, funny and thought provoking. I believe it will give non Christians something to consider. I give the movie a solid 3.5 stars and encourage you to see it.

Risen tells the story of Christ redirection through the eyes of a high ranking Roman soldier. It is a good movie. At some points even compelling. Joseph Fiennes was amazing. For the most part the acting in the movie was solid. Jesus was casted properly for a change. I am tired of the WASP Jesus seen so often. My favorite line in the movie is, " I'm already free" Yes! We are. Thank you, Jesus. I wish they would use more dynamic special effects though. Bring the miracles to life.
