The movie is enjoyable overall. "imaginary" Nick Cage effects are a little jarring/uncanny, not quite. The score during the first 3rd of the movie, specifically with the family scenes, seemed very out of place and almost commercial-y. Would like to have seen the film go all-in on the premise/it's absurdity. it's neither grounded enough to be taken seriously or heightened enough to let loose.

You have to be a Nic Cage fan to get the jokes about him to enjoy the movie. The plot device of recruiting him as a CIA operative was "incredibly ludicriou.'. The ending was satisfactory.

The fact it held my attention and made me continually laugh was remarkable. The storyline about the main character’s behavior in relation to his daughter and wife was exceptionally uncanny as I sat there in the theater with my husband 3 hours after getting served divorce papers. 26 years of my life spent with a self centered guy like the main character. With any luck, the film spoke to him.

Nick Cage fans will love it. Love the bromance. Cages massive ego shines. Some parts do corny you had to laugh
