Honestly, the excessive violence and crude humor isn't my favorite take on the genre. I know there is an audience out there for this, but a PG-13 cut would have been more bearable to me and would have allowed me to focus more on the actual storyline. It's really well-crafted and impressively stylistic, but based on the crudeness alone, I don't think I would recommend it to any of my friends.

It has fun elements and many likable characters, but the political message was a bit disheartening. There was no real sense of the protagonists doing the right thing for their own people (Americans) and the overarching storyline was very focused around modern colonization.

Lots of action coupled with a simply ridiculous story line. But it is based on a comic book series - so what do you expect.?
