great actors, great set wardrobe, great directing, great music....but just kind of bland storyline.

Very poignantly illustrated the struggles of maintaining Black relationships despite the never ending and subversive attacks against family and career aspirations diminished by racism and limited opportunities. What is most inspiring is how this couple keeps coming back together with an expanding awareness and effective understanding of what real love truly offers.\rA truly gifted innovative musician, however, would never give up his "axe" for any partner or other job. The partner would have to realize that they were always going to be "second" on his love list.

It's cute and nice but I feel like the editing was not on point, like some of the biggest moments in the movie were not given the importance they deserved and they were taken away from us. Aside from it, Tessa is beautiful and amazing and always a pleasure to watch.
