From beginning to end, The Mauritanian pulls you in and never lets go. Superbly acted and magnificently shot, this film is a gut punch of truth, raw emotion, and the unbearably heavy experience. Small details combine to create a symphony for the senses, creating for the viewer a peek behind the curtain of what most people could never fathom. Not only is this an extremely well-crafted movie, it is an important movie.

Very exciting

I loved it but started off a bit slow but the performances were outstanding. I cried so that is a sign of a good review for me. Will share the movie and hope it is Grammy-worthy!

An excellent overview of the terrible system in place at Guantanamo; it is impossible to watch this without emotion. An uncomfortable and necessary story to tell.
