So many layers to this social issue, and many of those layers are presented. Emerald Fennel has done an amazing job bringing awareness to a sensitive issue and her use of parallelism and metaphor is incredibly creative.

I loved it! I thought it was a great movie that really focused on the lives of survivors and the ways that society is complicit in sexual assault. I feel the film was really respectful to survivors of assault as well and depicted the trauma the characters experienced in a way that was respectful and complex.

Fantastic movie, relevant story, such a unique and creative script, and an outstanding performance by Carey Mulligan which surely should give her an Oscar. Absolutely recommend it!

Extremely well done film that I hope more will see. It’s triggering and upsetting but I’m glad it’s out there to get the conversation started about how we can do better, as a society.
