I liked it but felt Frank’s character very disturbing. I wished we had seen more interaction with Frank’s father where at some point Frank could defy his dad’s beliefs and face them head on. My favorite character was Walid and wanted to get to know him a little more as I felt there was a lot more there behind his sunny facade. Some of the characters were just not believable and a bit of cartoonish depictions of folks based on stereotypes.

This is what I call a "quiet" movie--no CGI, no explosions or special effects--just wonderful acting and beautiful camera work. I found the premise a bit "old," a little trite--I realize that during the time frame of the movie circumstances were VERY different from today, but I think the story may hav been told with a bit more originality. However, it was a movie very worth the time to view, and I would recommend it.
