Modern "Independence day" with time travel and climate change.

It is different but has a good ending

Human drama gets overshadowed by computer action, the kind that takes you out of the movie because, well, I guess it's video game time. Typical for summer type blockbusters, there has to be at least three action set pieces that don't let you forget it's 1s and 0s. But surrounding those drawn out action sequences is a decent drama centered around mostly likable characters. \r\rThe foreshadowing might be a little in your face, but nonetheless, when those foreshadowed moments take place, they usually earn their stay.\r\rAnd enough surprise elements scattered into the plot make it worthy.

While a little on the sappy side with the family affair, it was hugely entertaining.
