I am a fan of documentaries, so I pay close attention to the small details. I think that it was shot exceptionally well: the visuals of her youth, intertwined with the automated imagery & photos of that era (growing up back in the 80s and 90s). I grew up back then too, and those details were very relevant to her story. I enjoyed Mary J's authentic and down-to-earth persona, and I enjoyed all of the commentary from her peers in the music industry...as well as the videos of her live concerts. I always felt like I could relate to her right now I feel like I can relate to her even more.
