A great movie. Funny and touching at the same time.

Your typical feel good underdog comes up and makes a big statement showing all those that said they couldn’t that yes, indeed, they could. Regardless of the formulaic storyline, it is pretty adorable while also touching on some significant societal discriminations and overcoming stereotypes. There’s a deeper story here about a woman looking for purpose in her final days and finding friendship along the way. My parents are in or near the age group spotlighted in the movie, I have visited them at a “Sun Springs” (these are real places!). I appreciated the humor behind those places and the issues that truly do arise there (like children treating their parents as fragile and incompetent people or some of the old school thinking like the man is the boss or southern belles are only for women from the south). I found myself giggling throughout the movie and getting that warm-hearted feeling when we watched the happy ending. Also, my partner is going to love the fireworks idea.

I loved it. Very uplifting and fun to watch.

The movie was great. It made me laugh a lot, it made me cry a little. The movie gives inspiration.
