A young teen audience would relate to the film. It was dramatic, edgy at times, but believable experience.

This movie had the potential to be great but it was just OK. Hailee Stanfield is great as Nadine and Hayden Szeto was spectacular as Erwin Kim, in fact he is the best part of the movie. The movie suffers from an unlikable main character and they don't really explain why she's so terrible other than a dead father and a super popular brother. I also wished they would have explored her relationship with the best friend dating her brother a little more everything was too neatly wrapped up for me and not too many people are that well adjusted and Nadine definitely wasn't.

Wasn't your typical coming of age narrative, where the ugly duckling ends up being the beauty queen by the end. I just feel it had parts in it that needed more detail hence the sibling relationship. It was slow moving at times. I loved the chemistry of the student/ teacher and how they bounced sarcasm off one another
