A simple and typical story

It's like the Cliff notes of a much broader story. We get the highlights, but unlike August Osage County you can't help but feel there is a much bigger backdrop to all this. It's a valiant attempt and certainly likeable, but it just misses the mark with a rushed final act of redemption.
