Dull boring only the director knew what was going on . Slow not interesting. No back story. Wast of my time

Kind of a muddled story. Jean & Eddie have a troubled marriage. Then 1 day Eddie shows up with a baby and says he's ours! Soon after that Eddie comes home 1 night and tells Jean not to worry, that Cal will watch over her and baby and he has to disappear. A lot of bad people are looking for Eddie, Why? and if they can get to Jean. Cal protects her and takes her to be with his wife, son and father. The search doesn't stop for Jean or Eddie. There's car chases and a shoot out in a club- why? Never explained. Is Eddie still alive? Will Jean & her new family survive? Ya gotta see it

It did not pick up speed until well into the second half. The time period of the 1970's, that included women's rights and black/white integration, was interesting.

I really liked the ending. The movie was too slow and not enough action.
