I thought that the beginning of the movie was slow story wise. There were action sequences that we're entertaining, but the story line seemed messy. It didn't seem as coherent as it did in the first movie.

Different tone than the first Equalizer - way too self-serious, meandering and slow (in my opinion). Plot is rather unremarkable and it takes a while to get going. Entire movie could use a little bit of trimming here and there. On the other hand, it has a few well crafted sequences, especially the very atmospheric finale showdown. Not sure if fans of the first one will enjoy it all that much. 5/10

Good movie, just as good if not better than the first. Got a bit slow at some parts but still solid performance as always from Denzel Washington who can do no wrong, movie wise.
