I was totally swept away by the acting and the music. I felt I had a front row seat to the most amazing concert ever. I hope the music comes out on a CD so I can experience the movie every time I get into the car. Lady Gaga blew me out of the water. My reason for 4 stars, not 5, was we felt the movie was 15 minutes too long. We knew he was going to die. The excessive drugs/liquor cut into my joy.

I wish they had stuck more closely to the original story line of the previous A Star Is Born in so far as character traits went ie., felt the dynamic had been reversed. However, as an updated version for current times it was good.

It was good, a little sad, and it was nice to see Lady Gaga more natural.

We really enjoyed it. Compared the the previous film, it would have been better if we had more of a connection with the characters personally. Most of the film was getting to know them together.
