I really enjoyed this movie! This was a love story that spanned great distances. The expansive settings were wonderful and the pace and action kept your attention. Along with the love story was also the suspense of Gardner's father and his quest and determination to find him that kept you guessing up to the surprise twist. Overall really enjoyed and will recommend this as a must see movie!

Interesting and moved along at a good pace, with an unpredictable last 5 minutes, but satisfying to both husband and wife.

LONG ANSWERS:1) whomever arranged for the 1st preview showing of "The Space Between US" during game 7 of the World Series, (the most watched WS game on TV in 25 years) in the same city in which it was played, should be fired!2) as I told the reviewer exiting the 2nd theatre, (Valley View is far larger & accessible than Crocker Park) "It doesn't matter if you live on Mars or on Earth, it's much the same, only the environment is the difference, even in matters of the heart.)It appears they left the door open for a sequel, if it happens (though a 6 month delay doesn't seem well,) I hope they keep Gary Oldman in the mix, obviously Asa would continue to be another protagonist.) It was still a stretch with 25 yr old actress Britt Robertson playing a teenager, AND it seemed the studio and writer Allen Loeb, due to release delays (from not so good reviews of initial screenings?) later stretched his story to flow along the lines of a Nicholas Sparks theme, which Britt Robertson has also starred in a couple of films made from his books, thereby making this film less of a sci-fi and more of a "chick flick."The actual above Earth & Mars views were nice, though I was also expecting more Martian surface views too considering NASA has had rovers for a few years on our neighboring Planet.(Even though "The Martian" was a success (review wise) it would not have overexposed this film to allow more footage of the red planet.) note: this is the very first film I somehow was able to obtain passes for ever, trying several months. Allowing 4 chances/month per "member" is absurd, BC if one does not live within the LA or NYCity or Chicago Or Houston(of all places?!) areas, one movie a month is typically all one has a chance of viewing in one month by SFX, etc. I've seen a guy with several passes in his hands replying he used emails from several of his "friends", if any way to further limit the number of screenings,(espec. by ISP's) per month, once a member has reddemed a chance that month, the chances of seeing any screening would be a fairer mix.

Really enjoyed the movie. The characters were relatable as well as genuine in their performances. The story line was creative and didn't have the typical Romcom happy ending, but still left you with good feeling by the end.
