Captivating and engrossing.

Terrifying, traumatic, perfect. \r\rLaverne's role was beautiful - seeing a gorgeous Black, trans woman in a role that called out none of that - was shocking in and of itself. Forget about all the intense scenes with Carey and how deeply I felt all of the emotions that each scene brought on. Having gone through my own trauma on campus, I was rooting for Carey each moment. \r\rRequired viewing. Men, women, college kids, boomers, Z, X, all. Absolutely loved this movie. Truly a cinematic masterpiece.

Excellent and surprising. Although I found the dialogue at times somewhat stilted and not convincing. It was mostly engrossing throughout, yet had moments that fell a little flat. Definitely it was a movie that will prompt many discussions. I look forward to more movies from this brilliant new director.
