It was scary and fun but felt rushed with an over reliance on jump scares. I think it could have easily run another 30-40 minutes just by slowing down and letting some of the creepier scenes take their time.Having read and loved the novel, I was thrilled to see the story on screen. However I think someone who had not read the book wouldn't have had as enjoyable an experience.

I enjoyed the movie. It kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time. Movie did a good of getting you to like certain character and hate others.

Twist at end Good overcomes evil! Scary!

Genuinely creepy and the camaraderie between the children and insight into their personal struggles made you care about them. Cleverly written, both in horror and humor.
