Moving and very beautiful, but required suspension of disbelief that she could actually survive the 2 years. So it worked more as a fable

Definitely a movie for adults. \r\rVery smart and intelligent and sad.\r\rHowever it has the much needed redemption factor, the right amount of drama and excitement, and a woman's perspective of a story we've seen many times before where a lone man goes off into the woods.\r\rRobin Wright is an excellent actress and director. The cinematography was beautiful. \r\rI will watch again.\r\rI only took away one star because I did lose focus now and again in the middle.

This movie was very touching and beautiful. I liked how they developed Edie's character and did not dwell on the minutia of her living circumstances. I especially appreciate that they did not develop a romantic relationship with her character.
