I found Anonalisa to be a refreshing movie because it is a naturalistic portrayal of human beings, their words and actions, without the cover that society and Western culture demands. Political correctness is gone resulting in the audience surprised and uncomfortable numerous times. The achievement is truth to self and to others even though it's of the moment and unlasting. Highly recommended.

This was a beautiful and artful depiction of depression, in all its hopelessness.

As a Charlie Kaufman fan, I was naturally inclined to like this movie, yet I was still challenged by a relatively slow pace to set the stage in this psychological trope. The stylization if the film's animation and acting performances were just enough to get the film through to the big payoff and climactic sequences. I was satisfied by the ultimate moral of the story and left with much to ponder.

Thoroughly entertaining. Really enjoyed this film and will highly recommend.
