I'd heard some bad buzz so I was surprised how much I like this film. A tragic story with terrific casting. Jack O'Connell is perfectly charming as Blake to make us understand how Amy can be taken down the path of doom. And Marisa is a real find. Especially to see that was her doing all the vocals!

Back to Black was a great balance presenting Amy Winehouse as an artist and bringing in the human and real aspects of addiction. In the end, I was reminded what a powerful writer and singer she was, and I was saddened all over again that the world lost such an iconic voice and person.
