My wife called it a pleasant surprise. I expected it to be gratuitously violent but the characters were well fleshed-out and the film focused on the emotional elements of the story. It shows why characters would join such a club. The narration by the wife was an excellent plot device.

What a great film. It truly is the Goodfellas of Biker movies!

Very real

It was excellent. One of the best crime drama films ever (up there with Goodfellas, Scarface, Once Upon a Time in America, White Heat, etc.). I thought the set-up was great, the acting was very good (with Butler, Reedus, Shannon, and Wallace as stand outs), it looked and sounded beautiful. I'm really glad I saw this! Thank you!
