Great movie, with a really nice message! the production was really well done

This movie was truly epic. While it had a long running time, I felt as if I truly understood the lead characters motivation as well as the motivation of the other soldiers. The casting was great, although admittedly Vince Vaughn was a little old for the Sergeant role, he balanced his performance between comedic and dramatic. The lead and his wife were spot on.

This was a well told story. A little humor, good love story and the appropriate mix of actors so that you weren't wondering about "X famous person" being different than previously seen. My only down comment would be that the last third of the movie dragged just slightly. Another person mentioned the same thing as we walked out. We all enjoyed it, just maybe five minutes shorter?

Fantastic movie with scenes that capture every emotion. War scenes convey the real horrors of war and the physical and emotional scars that are carried by those who lived through it. Realistic portrayal of a normal man doing a completely heroic act!
