Loved it. Although I wish it ended differently, it was bittersweet to have action happen, albeit in a gruesome manner. It’s a shame it takes that much for something to happen. But an amazing film.

I think this film has been widely misunderstood. To me, PYW is about depression, regression, transgression and crippling loss.\rIf, based on the trailers, you go in expecting a candy-voted dark revenge comedy, you’re in for a letdown. But if you give it a real chance and try to mitigate those expectations, your experience of this film will be so much richer than anything you might imagine. \rThere is immense depth here, and it begets multiple viewings.

Very unexpected from what I initially gathered from the trailer. Compelling and heart wrenching. In an era where barely anything keeps me away from my phone, this film sucked me in until the very end. I am very inspired that this was the first film the director has directed and it already has 5 Oscar nominations. Very well deserved.

What a heartbreaking yet suspenseful story from a perspective that has never been shown on film. Thank you for never showing the rape itself. So many gratuitous rapes in movies and women who have been impacted by it don’t need to relive it. What an important movie for older men and women to rethink their experiences, and for younger men and women to understand. \r\rThe storytelling and film artistry was also brilliant while addressing such a topic. I am sorry that Cassie and her boyfriend didn’t work out but how much more interesting an ending. Great use of music and fashion too!\r\r\r
