a confusing CGI laden mess. I lost count of the sub-plots (8? 9?) and half way through the movie I realized I had no idea of what it was really about! Johnny Depp and Jude Law are completely wasted. I really had to stop myself from walking out just to see it to the end. p.s. I loved the Harry Potter movies. This is just a mess. But the creatures were cute.

Long, confusing

Awful movie. I've watched everyone of the Potter series and the first Fantastic Beasts film but this one was just brutal. Some useless characters, random story lines that went no where, focuses on characters where their only purpose was to speak a few lines, run around then died. Simply a waste of 2+hours that I cannot get back.

I did see the previous movies, but I must have forgotten the characters. For myself the movie had just too many characters, the storyline was convoluted. I lost track of why I was sitting there watching the movie. I dozed off three times.
