Too much use of Jim Parson's "Sheldon Cooper" persona, not enough variety of music (all seemed to be Rhianna or someone who sounded like her).

Kids will like it. Theme is importance of family.

I wasn't a fan of the movie really, and I think a big part of it had to do with the trailer, which I think didn't reveal enough about the movie.It showed the movie almost like a Lilo & Stitch deal where maybe the alien crashed on Earth and befriended a human girl who is trying to help him find his way home.It said NOTHING about an alien invasion and basically a galactic war going on.

It's a cute movie that the kids would like. Not much for adults however. Average kids fare. We saw the movie in 3D and it was a waste of tech. Not very much in the way of effects to warrant the 3D glasses.
