Movie was ok for a basketball movie some of the acting needed work but the story was interesting.

I was disappointed. I found the writing and directing weak, which in turn effected the acting at times. I do appreciate the opportunity to have seen it - thank you!

Despite a few missteps, Boogie is an engaging look at a flawed protagonist caught between a rock and a hard place - will he acquiesce to his immigrant parents' expectations or achieve his basketball dreams on his own terms? As Boogie makes his way through Queens to a familiar hip-hop soundtrack, the specter of his Chinese parents' sacrifice for him is in every corner.

Boogie may be for specific target audience that I am not in. I was not as engaged.
