A roller coaster of emotions were involved with this movie. The plot was well written. Had a lot of twists. Left me smiling.

Great movie! Loved the story as it was very relatable even though I am 27 years old. Haliee Steinfeld is my new favorite actresses. The humor was on point and the story was very honest to the experiences and tribulations many women go through. This movie was not the typical 90's chick flick where the girl has as an issue that is minor compared to real life woman issues and ends with a happily ever after. I can see some people thinking some parts were too dark but the feelings, thoughts and experiences Nadine goes through are very real and I was glad to see a movie portray that. Made me feel that I was not alone and that it does and will get better. Can't wait for the Dvd.

On first view of the trailer I figured this movie had one of two ways to go, either fall into favor of a teen audience, or the seasoned adults that knew the truth of all the quirky teen experiences prior to the take over of technology. In fact the movie made note of "teen life" being drowned out in a technological world that allows for no true disconnection to facilitate real connection. We saw that downfall with Nadine's, psychotic break and blunt text that she had means of intervening its transmission. Hailee Steinfeld delivered top notch capturing the true "senseless, comical" struggles and confusion of a teen, it was almost quite nostalgic though not so much on the home front of her text, we were still adorning the flip phones where novel long texts were only for those well versed in what numbers associated with how many pushes to get that spot on "word" in under a few seconds.
