The male gaze extends beyond clothing, haircuts, makeup, etc.--it reaches its menacing arm across every word, expression, and beat in a woman's storytelling in real life. PYW not only eliminated this veil, but displayed it in all its ugly glory. It broke my heart that, upon watching several of the scenes, I silently prayed that every self-proclaimed "nice guy" would recognize himself on the screen as that guy in the suit or this guy in the apartment, or so on and so on and so on. It made me feel seen and empowered as a woman--not to mention it was entertaining as hell. Thank you.

What a fantastic movie! Left me speechless. A must see.

Devastating effects and consequences of the grief, trauma and complicity of rape. Nicely injected humor throughout. Mulligan and Burnham are a revelation! The ending was shocking, tragic but left me satisfied. Everyone should see this movie!

I feel so many feelings I don't actually know how to process them yet but by far the best movie I've watched in years
