The premise sounded great, but the execution was lacking. Character introduction and development made no sense. Neither did the relationships between characters. I was often left wondering who people were and why characters were doing/saying things.

Too slow in pace. Melissa McCarthy’s character was supposedly making a grand stand against following men’s orders and whatnot, but the parent that actually had a connection to the mob life - her mother - was little more than a brief cameo and it was her father instead who was giving her advice. That felt like it negated a lot of what she was doing. The “surprise reveal” moment felt rushed and dull

felt there was a lack of development in the characters, and the acting was not so great. The concept was there, women taking care of business, but it just seemed to easy and unrealistic.

Good premise, bad story, bad acting.
