It was fine, but it could have been a lot better. Most of the characters weren't very well-developed. Maybe because it was only 90 minutes. And it's hard to connect with characters when only two of the leads (the girlfriend and the teammate) were likeable.

Boogie Tells a kind of urban tale that hasn't been told before. An Asian americanized youth and his struggle to balance family traditions and the ways of his current environment is what makes this film special. Outside of that the pace was a bit slow and a doesn't necessarily take you anywhere in the end, but the the characters are interesting enough to carry you through.
