Loved the subtle humor in this movie. I found myself chuckling to myself. The royal family was well played and the movie gave a wonderful glimpse and the late 1800s. I am a history lover, and this movie gave a wonderful untold tale that had been hidden by King Edward and showed just how lonely Queen Victoria was after Albert's death. Her 9 children seemed removed and distant to their mum so that the companion ship of Abdul was a welcome end to her life.Queen Victoria was one smart, progressive woman!re

I really enjoyed this movie. Lots of laughs interlaced with poignancy and warmth.

Well acted, about a Queen I knew little about, and a touching relationship. Well done!

If you enjoy period pieces, this is a thumbs up. The actors, cinematography and music were wonderful.And to find out this was a true story (mostly).
