It was a very cute & funny. Movie deals with various serious topics & changes in one’s life specially religion. I think it’s a great movie to watch with kids since it can facilitate talking to kids about puberty & changes adolescents experience . As far as her quest to find God I think she realized God is everywhere if we choose to believe. God doesn’t need to be linked to a specific religion.

As a man who is atheist, I went in thinking that I would find "ARE YOU THERE GOD? IT’S ME, MARGARET.?" as a just okay movie. To my surprise, the film touches upon purple elephant in the room issues that society chooses to not discuss or address. These issues include non-consensual parental religious upbringing, sex education, bullying in schools, and social pressures and expectations.

Such a cute movie! Very nostalgic for those that were a fan of Judy Blume back in the day.
