I really liked this film. Funny, sad and meaningful. The cast is fantastic as well!

It’s a great journey through the life of a beloved director. Along with a perfectly cultivated cast, the film shows the coming-up of a young boy who went to go on to create some of the most beloved films of our era; including the very one I am reviewing now.

Coming of age movie. A little too much Kushner, especially the Judd Hirsch scene, but overall it's a souped up TV Hallmark movie with better acting. Michelle Williams is resplendent as usual. The photography and the tint of the movie was reminiscent of the times. Dano and Rogen are adequate and the kid Spielberg was really good. More of a family movie than for the single 20-30 crowd.

Even post-peak Spielberg is still better than most movies.
