The Mauritanian is a heartbreaking true story of injustice done at the hands of our country that made me ashamed to be associated with it in any way. The shame was made worse by the fact that this sweet man holds no anger at the people who did this to him, and took years of his life, due to his love for God and his religion. The same religion that made this country so blood thirsty and xenophobic in the first place. The acting was fabulous by all involved and the screenplay unfolded just enough information little bits at a time. A highly recommended film!
