Lovely film, manages to stay away from the traditional tropes of the film 'youth' genre and stays fresh and original!

It was a sweet coming of age movie showing how kids need their parents in their lives especially in those confusing years where everything seems to be changing and falling apart. Parents need to learn from this movie!

It was super sweet, and did a good job of portraying the horror of being in 8th grade in a really lovely and authentic way. I liked that it brought in a lot of technology that older viewers wouldn't have had at that age... but in the end the story and experiences felt much bigger and more relatable than those specifics.
